It is nice in between showers.

It is dark when I get up in the mornings now, especially today when I start working one hour earlier than the rest of the week. It’s autumn so I really can’t hope for anything else πŸ™‚ But I could see some ground fog and thought why not bring a camera with me and stop on the way to take some photographs?. So I did but I brought the Minolta I’m trying right now, so You won’t see any of those photos until next month I think. I try to send at least four rolls of film to be developed each time and I’m only on that first roll yet πŸ™‚

I can tell You this much though, if they come out alright they will be really nice πŸ™‚ I’m afraid they might be a bit too dark though but that’s why we have editing programs in our computers πŸ™‚ I also took a few photos after work around my work place but still have a few photos left until I can start on another roll of film with another camera.

We have so many Nettle butterflies here now.

We’re having a really mixed weather here today, strong winds, lots of clouds but still lots of sunshine but also lots of rain. Short lived showers but enough to make me keep my kitchen door closed, too bad since it actually is quite nice when it doesn’t rain. It feels like we will get thunder today, the flies who still hangs around behaves like that but I’ve watched the real-time lightning site and no thunder is even close to us, it still hangs around in Denmark, a bit further south than yesterday. We’ll have much the same weather tomorrow but without the rain they say.

The last six photos are older, I didn't take especially many on our walk after work.

It is time to feed all the animals and myself too as a matter of fact. I never eat lunch at work on Fridays since I stop working before anyone has a lunch break, so the last time I ate some food today was at 4:40 am. Well I did eat a bun and some cookies at our weekly meeting at 11 am but not enough to keep me not feeling hungry πŸ™‚

    Hi Christer,
It’s not quite as light here when I get up in the morning, either. It’s turning towards that time of the year when sunrise takes such a long time to happen after I wake up. I don’t want to get up because the dogs will wake up and expect to be walked and fed. I’m not taking them out in the dark. There are creatures out there. I don’t mind the coyotes but I don’t want to run into a skunk in the dark while walking two unruly terriers. It would end badly. And stinkily. πŸ™‚

Today is perfect again. Cool. Sunny skies with big puffy clouds sailing by. Comfortably warm and not humid. We’ll probably get one more day of this and then it will be back into the high, hot temperatures again. No rain in sight, though.

    Enjoy the day.

    • Hi Caryn!

The change happens so fats here up in the north and I don’t like it at all!

Thankfully we don’t have skunks so I can without any fear let out the dogs in the garden when they need to πŸ™‚ I’m not sure how they would react if they met the badger though but I’m pretty sure I would hear it fairly quick πŸ™‚

Today wasn’t so bad but tyomorrow will be better they say, lots of sunshine and a very little risk of rain even if the occasional shower might pass by. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it rained all day tomorrow πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  4. I enjoyed seeing this post and the previous one, Christer, and it does seem that autumn weather has reached you and far sooner than here in NH. We are enjoying wonderful late summer temps and it’s not too hot so no need for AC just open windows πŸ™‚ The fall colors are not really in full bloom here (yet) but we are looking forward to seeing them in a month or so. Hope you have a restful weekend.

    • Hi Beatrice!

Yes autumn is here even if the days still can be rather nice and warm. It’s quite normal that it starts around now up here, the first frost is most likely only two weeks away now so soon I’ll have to place all potted plants I have on the patio so they’ll survive those first really cold nights.

The autumn colors have just started to show and the autumn flowers are now in bloom here.

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

Hi Christer! I wish we were having autumn here. Today we reached some ridiculous temperature of about 36 with the humidity. A thunderstorm did wake me this morning, but I fell back asleep, not too worried about the weather. πŸ™‚ I don’t even know what time it was but it had to have been around 0600 or after because the bedroom was fairly bright. Isn’t it amazing how dark it is in the mornings now? I don’t mind so much in the morning, but I don’t like it when it gets so dark at night. I am really noticing that now too. Yuck. Got a call from my doctor’s office today – I guess some of my blood work came back irregular so I go for another visit on Monday. I hope its nothing new….no fun getting older!! We took a quick visit to our local humane society today…just to look and see what they had. It makes me so mad, someone relinquished their little miniature pinscher dog who is 13 years old!! Can you believe it….his name is Ruckus and we were seriously considering him and even took him for a walk. He has some medical issues which at 13 would be expected, but what was the deciding factor on us not deciding to get him was the cost at adoption. They wanted $200 Canadian for him. I mean, he might not even be around next year and they want that kind of money!?!?! It blew me away, I think the elderly dogs should come with a decreased price. Poor little guy, I felt really bad but I just can’t justify spending that kind of money on a 13 year old dog. 😦 I hope someone takes him to his forever home!! Only 2 days left of my vacation….I hope it drags really slow because with that flu, it felt like I only got a few days. My boss approved giving me the 3 days to mark as sick which is lovely of him. I found out later that we can only do that if we were hospitalized, but because he approved it already, they have to give it to me. I feel bad now, so I will speak to him next week…I don’t want to take something that’s not the proper protocol. That’s just not right. But I will speak to him and see what he says. Have a good morning!!!

    • Hi Dianna!

I never sleep as good as when there’s a thunderstorm going around πŸ™‚ I might like You wake up to the first sound of it but rather quickly fall asleep again πŸ™‚ 36 with the humidity is just nasty and I’m glad we rarely reach that here.

I hope it’s nothing serious with Your blood work! I nerver like to get a call like that even if it’s nothing special.

WE only have a few shelters here and we can’t just go in and pick a dog we like, they will investigate everything about You and other possible new owners and it does cost pretty much too. The other oirganisations that take care of pets here place them in foster homes until they get a new home and they too investigate us totally if we want one of their pets. They already knew all about me when they caklled and asked if I could let Nova move here so I didn’t have to go through most of the investigations πŸ™‚

I’m not sure how I would have done with that old dog. I guess it all depends on how much I fell in love with it to be honest. I think elderly dogs here cost less though. I guess it all depends on how badly the humane society need that money of course and that price keep most nasty people away, at least I hope so.

That was kind of Your boss! We don’t have that rule here though, if one is sick with a medical certificate one get those days later on no matter how many they are. I think it’s a great thing that You’ll have a talk with Your boss and I think You’ll get to keep those days anyway πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  6. Christer,
I’m not up early enough to see how late it stays dark, but I know darkness comes early in the evening. I hate to see the summer coming to an end. Your summer is so short I’d feel cheated by Mother Nature.

Today was a lovely day and tonight is cool. It will be a great night for sleeping.

I hope you have a great weekend!!

    August 29, 2015 at 4:31 am

    • Hi Kat!

The night comes way to early, even I who goes to bed early in the evening can see it now. Thankfully this is what I’m used to, I’m not sure how I would feel if I had moved from southern Europe to here, it must feel like summer just paid a short visit πŸ™‚

This morning is quite nice and they say it will stay like this today.

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  7. Hi Christer…I downloaded Windows 10 and am now lost. At first your photo’s didn’t show up at all…then suddenly, when I had almost thought there were none and something had gone wrong..they suddenly popped up! That fly looked huge!
It seems everyone’s weather has been strange. It’s been 110 here..108…miserable. I hope it changes soon.

    • Hi Mona!

I really don’t like to download new updates like that but I did download windows 8,1. It didn’t behave much different than the previous version but sometimes it can’t find my internet connection and then I need to pull out the modem and push it in again. I will download 10 too but will wait a while before I do. I’ve heard it still have some problems that needs to be worked out.

I always have photos πŸ™‚ The fly however is tiny but beautiful πŸ™‚

I’m afraid ours is back to jormal at the moment, better that than Your 110!!!

have a greatd ay despite that awful heat!

      Christer.

  8. Love that first photo! Such a pretty lawn.
    Loved the butterfly too.
Hate flies, no matter what they look like.
If I get too hungry I start to get “Hangry”.

    • Hi Cindi!

He does have a nice lawn! I’ll do something like that next summer I think.

These green flies are just beautiful and never bothers anyone so those I accept πŸ™‚ Most of the rest though are animals I wish would just die πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      Have a great day!

      Christer.
