Nothing special has happened today and I really can’t come up with anything special to write about, so I’ll skip todays post and move myself to my sofa and scratch the bellies of my dogs the entire evening 🙂

Well there’s one thing, we now think that the forest machines scared the wild hogs and now they’ve found their way into the center of the village, they have found tracks just up the slope here beside my cottage and that we don’t like.

They are barely visible but there are some smaller bronze age tombs there in the fog.

  1. Hi Christer,
Hogs from the bogs cavorting in the town square? That’s serious. I was wondering where the wildlife was going to go when the machines took down the trees. It has to go somewhere and you have some big, dangerous wildlife. Yes, we have coyotes and moose but they aren’t big groups of boars with tusks and a load of aggression. So what can the village do about it? Probably not a lot, I guess.

On the couch, screeching dog bellies is a great place to be. 🙂

    Enjoy the evening.

    • Hi Caryn!

🙂 Well, we don’t have a town square 🙂 But we do have the bull pasture there and if I understood it right the tracks could be seen just outside that pasture. I think I might be safe from getting them into my garden though, I have electric fences on two sides, the kind they have for sheep here with six strings of electric wire. The front tiowards the road has thick hedge of lilacs and the fourth is towards my closest b´neighbor. They would hav to jump down into my garden to get there but wouldn’t be able to jump back 🙂 My neighbors garden is placed higher than mine but with my luckthey most likely would try to dig their way out 🙂

I had hoped they would run deeper into the bog area but it turns out they are chopping down trees all around the bog so the only way they really could go was in to the village 🙂 As You say, it is hard to do anything. They can get special permission to hunt in the village but everyone living here would have to get out of the village while they were shooting 🙂

      It was 🙂

      Have a great day!

      Christer.
