Bread baking.

We’re learning sign language again.

I harvested a lime again, it is sklightly bigger than a not too big walnut :-)

I understood something was wrong with Nova yesterday since she tried to avoid me at the same time she came running to greet me when I came home after work. Naturally I thought it was her right ear that was infected again but this time it had wandered over to her left ear instead. The poor girl hates to get the medicine down her ear but she does come when she knows it is time. I do hope that this is the last time she gets it in this ear because she can barely hear anything in the right ear after all these ear infections.

They are, to my big surprise, bright orange inside! They taste just like a lime should though.

The roads are so muddy and bad here now because of the forest machines, so we didn't take any walk today. We did yesterday though so all photos comes from then.

People would think I hate that dog since I always scream at her but I actually most often scream that she’s a good girl and that I love her πŸ™‚ Sometimes I need to throw something reasonable close to her to get her attention πŸ™‚ She usually look up from what ever track she follows if a pine cone comes rolling beside her πŸ™‚ So once again I’ve started to learn a dog some kind of sign language, it works really good if she just understand I want to tell her something πŸ™‚

I’m baking scones at the same time as I’m writing this. I have no bread at home and I really didn’t want to go to the grocery store after work. I need to clean the oven because lots of smoke came out of it when I opened the hatch. At first I thought it was the scones but they looked just fine, they need a few more minutes in there though. I’ve eaten all the marmalade but I might have some rowanberry jam left, goes really well with cheese πŸ™‚ I do hope my fire alarm doesn’t star because of the oven πŸ™‚

It is time to see if those scones are ready yet and if I can find that jam.

Have a great day!

Might as well bake a bread.

I took some photos of the night sky yesterday. ISO 4000 and the shutter open for 30 seconds.
I took some photos of the night sky yesterday. ISO 4000 and the shutter open for 30 seconds. So many stars shows so it is hard to see that this is the Ursa Major.

We’re having a grey and dull here with the occasional dripping from the sky. Not especially bad to be honest but not nice enough to want me to go outside. We did have sunshine this morning for around ten minutes and I guess that’ll be all we get today.

i THINK THAT vIRGO CAN BE SEEN SOMEWHERE IN ALL THESE STARS :-)
I think Virgo can be seen in all these stars πŸ™‚
I made this photo brighter and even more stars can be seen. Well both stars and galaxies but I would need a fantastic and expensive lens to see the differense :-)

I thought it would be nice to take a small nap after the walk and slept for over three hours πŸ™‚ I guess I really need it since I’ve now had this cold for four weeks. I do feel a bit better though so I hope it’ll be all over after this weekend.

This is taken towards west, can't say much more about the night sky I'm afraid :-) I do have maps but the camera just shows too many stars :-) I'm hoping that tomorrow early morning will be clear so I can take a photo of Mars and Jupiter and Orion's belt.

There were a few more gaps in the sky to let the sunshine in but now it is all gery up there.

Tomorrow we’ll go back to normal time again and we’ll also stop working those earlier hours at work as we’ve had for three weeks now. I can’t say I like either change because now it’ll be dark when I drive to work and dark when I come home again. More and more people are protesting about the daylight savings time and we all want to have British time all year round instead. Naturally the politicians refuse to do anything like that even though they now know lots of people die of heart attacks just because of the time change.

I’m baking rye bread right now and today I’m making it with the left over vanilla/ apple yoghurt, rosemary and some honey. Smells rather nice now when it is rising and I’m pretty sure it will taste good too πŸ™‚ I never follow any recipe, I just toss in what I think might taste good, the only thing I always have the same is the amount of fluid I’ll have in it so I know how much flour I’ll need.

It is time to take out the bread and knead it some more before the second rising and then in to the oven.

These might be taken with the Minolta 5000 :-) I do get the feeling that all these photos taken with the older camneras are from the 1950's and I like that a lot :-)
