It has been mostly cloudy with some rain today and a few seconds of sunshine too. The humidity is as high as it can get, around 99% and will stay like that until tomorrow night. The weather predictions varies faster than the speed of light ๐Ÿ™‚ We might get lots of thunder and rain this weekend but it can also be only light showers and perhaps some sunshine too. I would like to mow the lawn this weekend but I won’t do that if the grass is wet. Too much work to clean out the mower during and after using it on wet grass. I would like to have one of those robot mowers, they are quite popular here but still a bit too expensive for my taste. Now it would work rather well in my garden since the two big hole diggers aren’t around any more. It was quite pleasant outside this morning, around ย 8C (46,4F) and the birds sang as loud as they could. What is quite pleasant in the morning isn’t necessarily pleasant in the afternoon, it wasn’t much warmer when I came home from work. High humidity, cloudy sky and warmish isn’t that nice to be walking in to be honest, it is the high humidity that sort of dampens the joy of being out walking. Last summer, I think it was, I bought a little machine that makes ice cream. Well that is a lie to be honest. It is two bowls that you put in the freezer until they are deep frozen and one lid with an electric mixer which rotates very, very slow. One put the batter in the deep frozen bowl, put on the lid and start the mixer. After around 5 minutes there’s something very similar to ice cream, like soft ice cream. Ona can of course make real ice cream batter but for two bowls only (one bowl is like one portion) that’s just too much work.

So instead I filled the bowl with yoghurt and it works really good. I put in a variety called Samoan which contains peach, kiwi, mango, pineapple and passionfruit juice. Normally that yoghurt is a bit too sweet but when frozen this way it becomes a bit towards sour instead, just perfect! I also bought a yoghurt with vanilla, apples and cinnamon and I’ll try that one later today. I am rarely at home when the ice cream truck comes to the village and if I don’t bring a cool bag when I’m at the grocery store any ice cream will melt before I come home so this is a pretty good solution.
