It was nice to be able to see the road I was driving on.

We didn’t have frost or fog this morning, they finally got it right with the weather prediction ๐Ÿ™‚ It was so nice to not have to scrape the car windows and to actually be able to see the road I was driving on ๐Ÿ™‚ The big road (the one You could see photos from here in an earlier post) was almost totally empty and the car behaved as it should, I got this feeling of harmony and the feeling of that nothing can go wrong, so I was thinking that I could just go on driving until I had no more petrol in my car and then just keep going until the ocean would stop me.

But I knew that those feelings soon would disappear when I came to a cross-road some miles away and then it would all go back to normal anyway. So I turned where I was supposed to and drove to work. It wasn’t too bad to work either to be honest and the day passed rather quickly. I’ll be working in the neighbor factory tomorrow and on Thursday so those days will pass fast too even if I’ll be painting really big things that weighs around 500kg ( over 1100 pounds) hanging in the air and really heavy to move even if I have the right equipment.

Have a great day!

I had to call them.

Yesterdays thunderclouds were huge, this is just a tiny part of the closest one.

Yesterdays thunderclouds were huge, this is just a tiny part of the closest one.

We have thunder clouds hanging around today again but still no thunder. It was a pretty nice day before they arrived, lots of sunshine and rather warm but now it’s mostly cloudy and rather chilly. It’s just beneath 13C (55,4F) and the air has the feeling of a just passed thunderstorm but no thunderstorm has passed, very odd!

Suddenly it was as if the night had arrived, too bad no lightnings struck while I took this photo :-)

I still haven’t been able to see any of the photos I mailed to be developed last week and that’s a bit odd too. They are usually very fast in developing the films, so now I’m starting to wonder if something has happened to the film rolls. I’ll mail them if nothing turns up later today. I really would like to get these rolls developed because I have plenty of photos taken outside this village and I would like to see if I managed to stop the light leaks in the old Rolleicord.

I couldn’t wait any more so I called them ๐Ÿ™‚ They have a prolonged period at the moment so I will get my photos some time next week. I told them that as long as I know the rolls are there I’ll be very patient and I also told them that I thought they did a fantastic job and that I liked their service a lot. It’s never wrong to tell people that one think they are doing a very good job, that happens too seldom in my opinion.

The sun is back again and so is the higher temperatures so I opened the kitchen door so that Nova can sleep on the stairs again and Sune on the ground just outside. We’re all just waiting for the time I’m starting preparing our food. They’ll have their usual and I’ll have some sausages and hotdog breads. The dogs will have some sausages too of course ๐Ÿ™‚

I wonder where my energy is?

A101176_1

I worked in the neighbor factory today and that was just perfect since I don’t have any energy to do anything ๐Ÿ™‚ I went to bed already at 9 pm yesterday to the sound of a light rain and woke up a few minutes before the alarm started, only because Nova decided it was a good time to be scratched on the belly ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ It was a good reason to be honest ๐Ÿ™‚ It continued to rain during the day but now the sun shines and the humidity is so high it feels like walking in a sauna.

I bought a bag of tea and a bottle with green soap the other week, I know I brought it in to the kitchen but after that it has been gone ๐Ÿ™‚ So yesterday I thought that if I bought the same thing again the old ones would turn up, they always do. So I did that and the first things I found when I came home was the tea and green soap ๐Ÿ™‚ I know that the soap didn’t stand on the kitchen sink when I left home in the morning but it did when I came home. I’m pretty sure it’s the small ones that played a trick with me, there’s no other explanation ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

I think this second one is the best.

I think this second one is the best.

The first film rolls are now developed so that’s what You can see here today, it’s from the Hasselblad camera. I like it how they make it possible to down load the photos before they send them home to me. Of course these photos aren’t the highest quality but good enough to show and I have edited them slightly. The film rolls I used this time was called Lomography and that thought it was some kind of brand but it turns out that it is a kind of photography genre. It all started with old Russian cameras camera called Lomo. It’s made totally in plastic, even the lens. The cameras also let in light and some people liked the style of those photos and a new genre was born.

A101176_8

A101176_9

A101176_10

Some of my photos have an odd blue sort of foggish surface and I guess that can have to do with the fact that the film might not have too high quality ๐Ÿ™‚ I can see that it mostly has happened on photos when it was fairly dark ย while I took the photo. Never mind, I’m just taking these photos because I enjoy it, not because I live on taking and selling photos ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ย Otherwise they turned out quite well. I’m still waiting for the two other rolls, at least one is from the Minolta XGM and the other one might be from the Edixa (the roll from that camera can be the one I have in my fridge though ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

A101176_11

No big difference in these two though. All photos were taken in the early mornings.

I had hoped I would be able to do a lot of things while being on a blog vacation but the weather hasn’t allowed any outside work and I didn’t receive the phone call I wanted either, I need new rims to my car so I don’t have to get the summer tires taken off so the winter tires can be put on. It is so much easier to have separate rims to them. I still hope for that call (from my work friend who has those rims and will help me to put on my summer tires on them) though because I don’t start working again until Monday.

It has been raining a lot here and thunder has been close even if it hasn’t been above my cottage. they believe that we’ll have much the same weather through August and that September might be warmer. Statistically it should be like that they say but I’m not sure statistics works any longer, the climate change sort of put all the old statistic in the garbage bin. Well I can’t say that I haven’t gotten enough rest this summer ๐Ÿ™‚ It is more or less the only thing I’ve been doing ๐Ÿ™‚

We didn’t take any morning walk today, I was in no mood of walking in clouds of flies even if most of the biting ones are gone by now I still don’t like the others either ๐Ÿ™‚ I do wear my mosquito hat most of the time while being out on walks but I’m still rather tired of them now. The dogs didn’t seem to mind that we didn’t take any walk either, the kitchen door is open all day so they can always go out into the garden whenever they like to.

My neighbor the farmer believes that I might have a badger’s set in my garden ๐Ÿ™‚ I have seen the paths it has made here and it has tried to dig a hole just beside my patio but gave up that idea rather quickly. I guess three dogs is a bit too much to have that close even if they wouldn’t harm it in any way ๐Ÿ™‚ I do have a lot of bushes covering those places it might choose as a new home so it is hard to see if it has dug a hole elsewhere in the garden. I’ll know better when winter comes.

I wouldn’t mind if it did chose my garden as a home as long as it doesn’t try to dig down beneath the cottage. So if I find that is has dug a hole in an appropriate place I’ll leave it alone, I’m pretty sure we’ll get along nicely as long as I can teach the dogs not to try to play with it ๐Ÿ™‚ Orvar tried that once and I can say the badger wasn’t happy at all ๐Ÿ™‚ It didn’t try to hurt Orvar because all it wanted to do was to get away from that crazy dog ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll let You know if I find anything.

Himalayan Balsm (Impatiens glandulifera). It’s a beautiful weed that will suffocate any other plant trying to grow there it grows. It is an annual which would make it easy to get rid of one would think but it isn’t. It’s actually a road You’re looking at ๐Ÿ™‚

We think that my neighbor the Bee keeper’s bee hives will survive. The queens haven’t come back as far as I know but he thought he could see that new queens were growing so he moved some of those cells to the second bee hive. There will however be no honey produced this year, they barely have enough to survive a mild winter to be honest. He will of course give them food during the winter so they aren’t dependent on what they can scrape together thankfully. Still, I don’t think we’ve had such a good berry summer for ages. I’ll get more blueberries on one bush than I’ve gotten in total all three years I’ve had blueberry bushes in my garden ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great day!

A rather chilly morning.

DSC_0029

I woke up a bit later than usual so the sun was already shining when we came out for our walk. It was only 5C (41F) and we could see our breaths when we were breathing. There was one big cloud in the sky and naturally it had to move so the sun got covered just as we were starting our walk. I got really angry to be honest ๐Ÿ™‚ One cloud and it had to cover the sun when it for once actually shone ๐Ÿ™‚ Normally I can’t hear any man-made sound that early but the first thing I heard, to my big surprise, was someone playing music really loud and the sounds echoed over the village.ย

Guess on what side of the sky the sun was :-)

DSC_0039

DSC_0040

I have no idea if it started just as I opened my door but I guess it woke up any neighbor living close and the sound suddenly stopped in the middle of the second song ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess I’ll be hearing about this during the week ๐Ÿ™‚ We walked down the road we usually do early mornings, I wanted to photograph spider webs but I could find very few since the high grass the spiders love now is either eaten or trampled by the cattle walking in that pasture. But what I found was a bit better and it happened just as the sun started to show again, I saw a dew covered dragonfly (or Troll spindle as the Swedish name is) and just beside it was a spider.

It took a while before I saw that spider :-)

I was wondering if the spider would try to get the dragonfly or if the dragonfly would try to take the spider as soon as it had dries up. I think the spider is too small to take a big dragonfly though and I’m not sure if dragonflies eat spiders, they eat insects but I’m not sure if they eat arachnids. We continued out to the bog and I think it must have been even chillier out there. I didn’t mind though because the air was totally fly free ๐Ÿ™‚ We saw a tiny fox from a big distance but it was too quick to run away before I managed to focus the camera.

I had planned to go to the grocery store in the village where I work, I like that place and I really didn’t feel like going to the super market today but I changed my mind, I wanted to see what kind of hedge shears and grass trimmers they had. I prefer to buy Bosch when it comes to electric machines and they had the trimmers of that brand but not the hedge shears. So I need to find a place that sell Bosh hedge shears because I don’t want any other brand. I could of course by a petrol driven one, they don’t cost especially much more but to be honest, I would only use it every five years so I doubt it would be worth it. Petrol driven machines needs to be used otherwise they quickly give up. Electric machines usually don’t have that problem.
