Sorry but I am running late again but on a Tuesday 🙂 I suddenly remembered that bills need to be paid even if one has been sick for over a week 🙂 and when I realised that I remembered a few other things I needed to do as well.

Yesterday I was going to watch the football match between Iceland and England. England has always been my favorite team but in the Icelandic team seven of them play in our top division at the moment and five more have been here too and not to forget, their coach is Swedish. So I had a bit of a problem on what team I should hope to win.

I fell asleep in front of the tv five minutes before they started and woke up 25 minutes in to the match. I read England 1 Iceland 2 and thought I must still be sleeping, so many goals in just 25 minutes can’t be possible. It was 🙂 I was so confused that I decided it was best to go to bed 🙂 I’m sad for the English team but so happy for the Icelandic 🙂 Now I hope they go all the way 🙂

I’m not sure which is worse, the fever with boiling/ freezing periods or the coughing with runny nose 🙂 I’ve started coughing so bad that every single muscle, even those tiny in the scalp aches after one of those cough attacks and the runny nose isn’t especially fun to have either 🙂
I didn’t get many hours of sleep last night and the few I got wasn’t any quality sleeping 🙂 The coughing makes the sore throat even more so so every tim I tried to swallow the pain hit the brain and woke me up. I’ve spent the morning watching the film Avengers Age Of Ultron. A perfect film to watch when the brain no longer works 🙂 The logical center in the brain doesn’t work anyway so nothing seems impossible to do 🙂 There isn’t even anything odd having a Norse god as one of the main characters 🙂

As I said yesterday, the evil guy in films like these must be truly evil, not a philosophical mumbo-jumbo character but heroes can be very different, they don’t even have to be good ones for us to accept them. In the Avengers films I don’t think there’s really a single good one, except for possibly Captain America, the rest of them are more or less unstable as best 🙂
It is time to open the kitchen door for a while, it has been raining all morning but it looks like it has stopped for a while now. I really don’t care because I really need to get new air into my cottage, the old one smells like sickness 🙂

The evil ones need to be extra evil!
I did catch the sunrise this morning.
The dogs are bored, I’m at home and therefore we should be outside walking all day like we do on work free days. They constantly wants me to open the door and when I don’t follow them out they go inside again sighing highly 🙂 It is however not the nicest of weathers outside even if it isn’t that bad either. Mostly cloudy with a strong wind and below 20C (68F) temperatures.
It is nice when the cranes fly so close to my home that I only need to open the door to photograph them 🙂
Yesterday I sowed the last vegetables in my vegetable patch. Red carrots, chard, broccoli and a few squash seeds. A bit late for squash but then again those plants usually give too much anyway so I think I’ll get just enough this year. I have plenty of green tomatoes but no ripe ones, we need a few days with sunshine to make them red I think.

The fever has sunken rather a lot so I hope it’ll be gone by tomorrow. It came back during the night for a while so I woke up every time I either froze or boiled and gave up at 4am and went up. That gave me plenty of time to watch dvd’s though 🙂 So this morning I finally watched the last Hunger Games and the latest Star Wars. I liked them both but I have to say that Hunger Games did feel a bit slow some times but loved what happened before it ended.

They do have problems making the evil characters in the Star Wars films. Darth Vader and the emperor was really good but the young Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader was really bad and so was the bad guys in this film too. I think they tried to make then interesting but only managed to make them annoying 🙂 The hero side however is really good but a good film needs a fantastic evil guy, one we all can hate and who is interesting and not someone we all want to die early in the film just because he’s so annoying, or perhaps pathetic is the right word 🙂 🙂 🙂 I do hope they get more evil in the next film 🙂

The Beekeeper has lots of poppies. I sowed lots of seeds and I have one tiny plant with one bud 🙂
Yesterday was no fun, the fever went sky-high or at least above 39C (102,2F)., One minute I froze like crazy the next I was boiling. I thought I would watch any of the dvd’s I’ve bought but I didn’t have the energy to start the dvd 🙂 and to be honest, I would most likely have slept through most of the film anyway.
I went to bed wearing thick clothes and after a few hours I woke up and hade to take them off again 🙂 I was surprised to see that it wasn’t pitch black at 1am, there was enough light so I didn’t have to turn on any lamps. I know it wasn’t the moon because it was cloudy all night and it was just minutes ago that we could see the sun for the first time today.
Sweet cherries. They’ll disappear before they ripe I’m afraid because birds just love them.
The biggest wild rose in my garden is slowly opening up its flowers. It is three meters high and perhaps 3,5 meters wide (much the same in yards) and just keep on growing.
I guess it was a perfect day to get this cold because it rained all day, I couldn’t have done much anyway to be honest. Still this is nothing one wish anyone to get. Today feels better, I’m at least not freezing any longer but my throat is nasty, the headache comes and goes and I’m so tired. I really need to mow the lawn now but there’s just no energy left to do that. We’ll take a short walk though and after that I’ll most likely fall asleep in front of the tv again 🙂

The most wonderful morning.

I’ve had the most wonderful morning today. I drove quite early to the hospital to get my insoles and was lucky to be the first one there. I don’t think it took more than five minutes to get them adjusted to my two pair of shoes. After that I drove to the marina, the sun was shining and there was a weak but just enough warm breeze to keep me cool. I took several photos but only with old cameras, it would have been too much with my digital too because old cameras weigh lots more than modern ones.
Sotis is getting bigger now.
Mosquitos don’t need lots of water to become more. I do hope the puddle dries out fast.
Vacation season has started and I saw lots of people walking their dogs and I wished I could have brought my two too, Sune would have loved to swim in the lake, Nova would have liked to drink the water 🙂 There was also a big group of Canadian geese and those are not birds to mess with 🙂 They refused to move when I came walking so I had to walk in a half circle around them and realised how much they poop, it looked like lots of smallish dog poops to be honest but they were green 🙂 I also passed through thick clouds of midges, our black flies but they don’t like me especially much thankfully. I think one or maybe two bit me but that’s it.
There isn’t much water left in the creek now but he still jumps in when he can 🙂
It was when I walked by the water I suddenly started to long for the ocean. The lake is big enough so it behaves like an ocean in most ways but there it doesn’t smell the same, no salty smell with a touch of seaweed and that smell that is so hard to describe. Small fish jumped up in the air so I think pike, walleye and perch might have been out hunting or perhaps even trout. I guess it would have been a good morning to fish so I almost regretted not bringing a fishing rod. We can fish for free in the ocean and the five big lakes here but we do need a fishing license in almost all other waters.
I parked the car in the center of the city too and walked around for an hour or so before I finally found an open café. Odd that they don’t open early so people can have their morning coffee and a croissant there. I could however get some Thai food already when I arrived in the city, they obviously don’t think it is odd to have cooked food that early in the morning 🙂 I just can’t eat cooked food that early though so I never went in even though it smelled delicious.
Just imagine how many shades of green there are.
It takes around an hour to get to Falköping from Lidköping if one drives legally 🙂 so I had to leave before 11am if I wanted to be in time for my appointment at the optician. I did have some time left when I arrived so I walked around in Falköping too. I bought some tea and the best ice cream there is in that town before I went to the optician which is on the same street.
We managed to take a short walk when I came home, the flies drove Nova crazy so she turned homewards as soon as she could, there aren’t that many flies but they behave insane so I think thunder might come soon, they predict thunder for tomorrow. None had however predicted showers for today and I guess that none of us is surprised that it did rain here 🙂
The rest of the photos were taken with the Balda Jubilette. I still have a long way to go to get really good photos with most of the old cameras, it is a totally different thing to use them.
It is time for a pot of tea and after that a walk if the flies starts to behave normal again.

We’re having a chilly, windy but mostly sunny morning here. It is sweater weather even if one walks in shelter of the wind but kind of nice anyway. It is however not that nice that I’ll keep the kitchen door open for more than a few seconds. I guess that’s why the dogs wants to go out and in all the time, when it stays open all day they usually don’t feel the need to go in and out at all 🙂
No big plans for today. I might go outside and sow those last vegetable seeds I still haven’t sown. A good thing I didn’t since we had frost the other day. Sometimes it pays off being lazy because they had not survived such a cold night 🙂
The hunters have cleaned up the path along the creek so we finally can walk there without risking a fall and a broken leg. Too bad the ones owning the field beside this part now will put up electric fences to keep away the wild hogs. They keep the fence so close to the creek that it will be impossible to walk there again. It is most likely against the law “right of public access” but I do understand them because the hogs do destroy the fields totally.
Perhaps I finally will watch one of all the dvd’s I’ve bought. I still haven’t watched the last Hunger Games movie or the latest Star Wars movie and I have continued to buy dvd’s so I have plenty to watch when I finally start :-)I also have several books that I’ve bought but not come around to read.
I just couldn’t figure out what animal it was we were looking at from a distance.
I can always do the laundry but that can wait until tomorrow or I can do some today and some tomorrow. All these choices and still nothing to do as I so often heard when I was a kid 🙂

I do know however that I will drink a big pot of tea very soon and I might watch some tv while I’m drinking it. I still have that extra channel for free and still without any sound 🙂 but comedies with subtitles work anyway. The rest of what they show is pure crap though so I don’t watch that channel especially much anyway 🙂

It is time for that pot of tea and after that a nap perhaps. I will set the alarm though because I tend to sleep for way too long and when I do the entire weekend gets messed up.
I had the Kiev ¤ camera in my car most of the late winter and early spring and stopped to take photographs whenever I could. The last photos were taken just a few eeks ago.
It was so foggy at work that the huge silo behind my work place couldn’t be seen.

These four are from the Balda Jubilette. This one was the first photo on the film. It could work as a post card where I could write something on the front of the card, something I’ve noticed they often did back in the days (early 1900’s that is).
It won’t take long till he’s used to us.
The morning is a bit chilly, we had below 0C (32F) this morning but since the sun shone and the wind was absent it felt rather nice anyway. According to the weather predictions we’ll have a cloud free sky so is anyone surprised if I say we do have clouds in the sky 🙂 🙂 They are thin though so the sun will be able to shine through.
We were out walking for over two hours and ended up by the bog where we so often go. Sune and Nova found sticks to chew and I sat on a tree stump listening to the birds singing. There were especially two birds from the same species I listened to, my guess is that one was a bit older than the other because his song was much more graceful, the other ne had on the other hand more power to his song. I wonder who would sound more attractive to the female birds?
The forest floor is now filled with Oxalis acetosella (Common wood sorrel). We call it Hare acid and the leafs are delicious.
The fox is getting used to us now. Today we stood and watched each other for quite some time until he went away. Nova and Sune didn’t care about him at all, they were more interested in eating deer and hare poop 🙂 I guess that, if we meet him again this weekend, he won’t walk away at all. He is really far too busy to find food for the cubs so if he feels we’re no threat he will just ignore us instead.
It really is too chilly right now but I still have the kitchen door open. The dogs love it and the sun is heating up the wall so it won’t take long until it will start to feel warm in the kitchen too. The first dandelions have opened up in my lawn but the ones that will get pink flowers still have no buds. I had plenty of those plants last year but then both Orvar and Hector found most of them 🙂 🙂 Only a few that I had put in pots survived 🙂
It is time for a pot of tea and perhaps something to eat as well.

The weather isn’t boring anyway.
Now I have cows on one side of my cottage and sheep on the other 🙂
It is impossible to say that we have boring weather today, five minutes sunshine five minutes rain and lots of strong gusts in between. The sun shone when I came home so we went out for a walk as soon as we could. I could see how showers were closing in so we didn’t walk as far as I had planned.
I wish I could say that the sky was dark blue but it is instead led blue rain clouds.
We almost made it all the way home when the rain started and with it the strong wind. It si hard to say that the rain fell since it flew sideways and I don’t think a drop hit the ground 🙂 at least not until the wind stopped. As usual we took cover in the beekeepers stable, it has saved us many times before.
The Marsh Marigolds will soon open up.
The sun started to shine again as soon as we came home so I managed to walk around to see what is in bloom now and I noticed that the grass still is very short so if it still is wet on Sunday it doesn’t matter, the mowing can wait another week.
I drove by the super market on my way home and I bought two dvd’s, the last Hunger games film and the latest Star Wars film too. So if the weather continues like this I know what I can do instead 🙂

A good rule with these old cameras is to always photograph with the sun in the back, never towards the sun.

I have no idea how this photo became like this. I have checked the Balda Jubilette for light leaks butthere are none. I think it might have been the shutter that didn’t close properly. No matter why, I like it a lot! Could be fairies in a nasty hurry passing me 🙂 🙂
I’m so glad it is Friday tomorrow, I was at the neighbor factory again today and even if it went much better than last time I still can’t pretend it worked brilliant 🙂 It started with me bringing the wrong size on the hoses I was going to change today but thankfully the old ones didn’t break.
New lambs are born every day now 🙂 This is the first thing I see when I open the door 🙂
This mother was a bit stressed before she found her lamb, she came running in a hurry to find her own lamb.
It is easy to see what the lamb was thinking. Oh Ma, You are so embarrassing 🙂
I have two different kinds of paint, one bright almost white and one dark almost black. The white one behaved as it should and I started to think I was going back to my ordinary work plcae rather early. The dark one however didn’t behave as it should. I have no idea why but I had to use a third more paint to finish the job and even if I had lots of thinner in it it still didn’t flow as it should.
So instead of getting back early I arrived at my work place half an hour before I was going home 🙂 Ok, I have to admit that the day passed very fast, I have no clock there and it is just too much work to try to reach my phone since I can’t open up the overall in thge paint box, the paint is just too toxic and even if the fumes only hit the skin it can make me allergic.

I really don’t like this camera, it doesn’t allow me to adjust the settings especially much myself.
but I must admit that it is a really good camera and lens. I haven’t had to do anything with these photographs.
So even if I don’t like it I tend to use it a lot anyway 🙂
We wentto the bog after work and was lucky to come home just before the rain started to fall. It was just a sort of heavy drizzle so it wouldn’t have been so bad being out walking when it arrived and it is much better than the snow that has been falling lately 🙂 I have no idea how the weather willbe this weekend, they have changed it so many times that it can be anything really 🙂

It is a new day tomorrow.
Today all photos comes from two old cameras. The first ones comes from an Agfa Ambi silette. A rangefinder camera often called the poor mans Leica. Leica cameras are amongst the few cameras that actually are pretty expensive no matter how old they are. Not so with Agfa cameras but this one is really good. I only have one lens and it is a 135mm telephoto lens.
It hailed heavily yesterday evening and since temperatures were low all night lots of it covered my car when I woke up this morning. Thankfully the sun showed for a minute or two so it was easy to get rid of before going to work. I think I had driven for five minutes when the snow started to fall. Even I had to admit to myself that it looked pretty but I was a bit worried since I now have summer tires on my car.
The pretty feeling soon vanished because the longer I drove the more it snowed 🙂 At one point it was so hard to see the road that I thought it would be best to stop and slowly drive home again. The road was however so warm that the snow melted as soon as it hit so I continued to work. Just as I arrived the snow stopped falling and I could see some sunshine again. It lasted until I was about to go to the neighbor factory to work, just before I was leaving the snow started to fall again. So even if it is just 200 meters (much the same in yards) to the other place I took the car 🙂
Nothing worked as it should today 🙂 It took quite some time until I even could start working. Something must have been wrong with the paint because it was looking like cement and nothing I did made it better 🙂 I had painted for a while when it suddenly felt like something was tapping me on my head, strange since I was the only one there. So I turned around and saw that the hose from the paint pump had broken and it sprayed me all over my back 🙂 I wear an overall that won’t let any paint through so that didn’t bother me that much.
The worst thing was that everything was covered in paint and my gloves got slippery and it took almost half an hour to fix the hose. I hadn’t worked for long when something else hit me in the back of my head, this time it was the hose for the compressed air that broke 🙂 It just took twenty minutes to fix that hose so I could start working again. I don’t have any clock in there so every now and again I must check the clock in my mobile phone. Guess what? The zipper broke on my overall!!!
The rest of the photos comes from an old camera called Balda Jubilette (pre WW2). It is a viewfinder camera so one has to estimate the distance to the thing one wants to photograph. I am surprised over how good this camera was. It does seem that I have a light leak in it somewhere that I must find.
I can’t even be in the paintbox if that is broken and it would take too long to go back to my ordinary workplace to get a new overall so I had to go outside, now without any snow falling but with a strong wind instead. I did manage to fix it, at least so I could continue to work. I’ll bring another one next time I’ll go there, on Thursday they say. It took me twice as long to paint what I should today and I’m so glad that the day is over. From now on it only can be better.
It is time to eat something and after that I’ll sit in front of the tv being grumpy all evening 🙂
